Nigeria coach, Lars Lagerback, has admitted he has a very difficult job ahead after his team posted an uninspired performance against Saudi Arabia in a World Cup warm-up game.
The Super Eagles were lack lustre in a 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia at the Alpen Stadium in Wattens, western Austria, on Tuesday.
And top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Taiwo Ogunjobi, revealed that a disappointed Lagerback blasted the players after the game and admitted he has a lot more work to do before the World Cup.
“The coach was not happy. He was angry and disappointed with the performance of the team,” Ogunjobi informed.
“He also told us that he now has a lot to do before the World Cup kicks off.”
Ogunjobi added: “The boys did not live up to expectations and they have to do a lot better on Sunday against Colombia.”
Nigeria, who are drawn with Argentina, Greece and South Korea, will also tackle North Korea in Johannesburg on June 6 before their opening Group B match against Argentina at Ellis Park Stadium, also in Johannesburg.
