in the forthcoming April election, Celestine Omehia, said he has a new

Mr Omehia told the
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that his
vision is to partner with the electorate in the management of the
state’s resources. The one time governor of Rivers State who was
removed by a Supreme Court ruling in 2007 was cleared by Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest the April election.
According to the politician who was a member of the People’s Democratic
Party (PDP) said the youth will also be made partners of his
administration to give them a sense of belonging. He stressed that his
vision is ‘simple and straight’.

Bureaucratic

“The governance of
Rivers State will be in a way that every person will feel the presence
of democracy and government in a way that the electorate will be
partners in the management of their own resources.

In a way that
situations and environment will be created for the youth to be part of
the governance so that when they grow up, they take over from us
without beating about the bush. They will know straight away what to do
and how to govern their own resources” he said.

He noted that if given the mandate, his administration will meet the
needs of the people and give them a sense of belonging. Mr Omehia urged
the people to support his ambition to govern them once again saying
that his blueprint for the development of the state is still intact.
