The show, ‘Festival of Love’ may have come and gone but those present at the classy romantic evening show in Abuja will not forget the remarkable evening in a hurry. It was a lavish and extra-ordinary love party.
What made the show exceptionally classy was the quality of crowd and performances. Couples in Abuja stepped out to the show with the best of their attires to give themselves a valentine treat.
The host, Julius Agwu alongside other entertainers like MI, Darey, Waje, Iyanya, CD John and Onyeka Onwenu gave a good account of themselves thrilling guests who kept asking for more.
Waje was in her best form as she and her band literarily brought down the roof. Her sonorous voice coupled with her stage craft with energy sapping performance made her the favourite for the night. She performed her hit song, For A Minute and a few other songs from her coming album. But her climax wasn’t until she rendered late Bob Marley’s Turn Your Lights Down Low.
The nostalgia-inducing song got the whole hall hypnotised in a sing-along daze until all were on their feet to applaud the incredible singer.
Iyanya didn’t fall short of expectations with his exhilarating performance. Ditto for Darey who’s latest singles set the guests a-dancing. Onyeka Onwenu took us back to the past with her One Love hit. M.I rounded off the night with his enlivening performance while CD John provided comical relief at appropriate intervals.
