Josephine Tapgun,
the minister of state for commerce and industry, has called for deeper
trade relations between Nigeria and China. Mrs. Tapgun made the call on
Monday in Abuja, when she received a delegation from the Chinese
province of Qinghai.
“The relationship between China and Nigeria has
been a long one, most especially in the area of trade. I want you to
use this visit to explore many other untapped potentials that abound in
Nigeria to deepen the trade relationship,” she said.
She urged the
Chinese businessmen to explore agriculture, solid minerals, oil and
gas, power, among others, stressing that these sectors had remained
untapped in Nigeria.
