Nigeria’s Federal Capital City of Abuja will play host to the first regional editions of 2011 edition of Star Quest, the music talent hunt sponsored by Star lager, Nigeria’s favourite beer.
The regional auditions will kick off at the Reiz Continental Hotel in Abuja, from March 10 and last till March 12.
Over the three day period, interested participants will attempt to please a panel of judges by performing various musical acts. Successful individuals at this stage would proceed to the Grand Audition stage, thus inching closer to carting away the Star Quest 2011 grand prize.
Unlike previous editions in which on-line registration was required, interested participants only need to walk into the designated audition venue, register and perform in front of the judging panel.
According to Yusuf Ageni, Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries Plc, manufacturers of Star lager beer, “The Company is pleased to welcome the young Nigerians who are residing in Abuja and its environs to Reiz Continental Hotel for Star Quest 2011 regional auditions.
Star lager beer is offering this unique platform to music enthusiasts for them to explode into stardom. We invite them to take advantage of this unique opportunity to exhibit their musical talents. One or more members of Nigeria’s next Star Quest winners may just emerge from this zone.”
Those willing to partake at the auditions are required to possess good vocals, or the ability to play musical instruments, or both. Other regions Star Quest auditions will be conducted are Enugu, Benin and Lagos. Star Quest was introduced in 2002 with the main objective of reinforcing and demonstrating the Star brand’s theme of Sharing a Brighter Life.
