Irked by the brazen breach of security even in the very precinct of the Police hierarchy, the Independent Service Delivery Monitoring Group has called for the immediate sack of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim.
The call came on the heels of yesterday’s bomb blast, which rocked the Police Force Headquarters in Area 11, Abuja, just a few days after the Inspector General boastfully said his men would soon put a permanent stop to the mayhem caused by a group known as Boko Haram, who have wrecked havoc in Borno State.
In a press statement signed by the Executive Director of the group, Dr. Chima Amadi and made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, it said: “if the attackers can so effortlessly breach the heavy security protocols of the police in the very vicinity where Ringim holds sway, it therefore means that the police cannot guarantee safety of Nigerians.
