Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has urged the Federal Government to urgently look into the security situation of the nation just as he advised Nigerians to reject bombing as a method of expressing their grievances.
Okorocha gave this advice during a courtesy visit to the office of the Secretary of the Government of the Federation (SGF) in Abuja yesterday.
A statement from the office of the SGF, signed by its Deputy Director (Information), Salisu Na’inna Dambatta, quoted the Owelle as advising the youths not to copy the foreign method of expressing grievance as it was not part of the Nigerian culture.
He also congratulated the new SGF, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on his appointment.
“While congratulating Senator Pius Anyim Pius on his appointment as the SGF”, Rochas noted that it was the first time a South Easterner was appointed to the office.
The SGF, in his response, also congratulated the governor on his election, describing it as “a landmark and showed that the electoral process that produced you as the governor of Imo was credible, free and fair.”
