The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has approved the appointment of Mr. Bola Adeeko as its Chief of Staff
In a statement signed by the Exchange’s Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Wole Tokede, and made available to Leadership, Adeeko who resumed duty on Monday, July 4, 2011 will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Exchange, Mr. Oscar Onyema, in driving the Exchange’s transformation agenda and have general oversight of the activities of all the departments in the corporate division.
?He will be a member of the executive committee, which comprises the four divisional heads and the CEO.
Onyema said he was confident that Adeeko would add significant value especially as the institution executes its business plan, given his experience, exposure and qualifications in global financial institutions.
Adeeko described his appointment as an invaluable opportunity to contribute his quota to the growth and development of Nigerian capital market at this critical period.
The new chief of staff has over 18 years of broad professional experience spanning various functions such as Finance, Program Management, Product Development and Sales-Relationship Management, working for large global firms such as JPMorgan Chase, First Data Corporation and Sara Lee.
Prior to joining the Nigerian Stock Exchange, he was vice-president, Global Trade Finance at JPMorgan Chase, where he most recently was responsible for developing new trade finance business and managing a client portfolio of Fortune 1000 companies in the oil and gas, mining and power sectors.
During his 11 year stint with the bank, he also managed strategic large scale programme initiatives.
Adeeko has an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Hood College, Frederick, Maryland (USA) and B.sc in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.?
