Six indigenes of Katsina State have been selected to represent Nigeria at an international education debate scheduled for South Korea later this month.
The debate, which will focus on education and cultural discourse, is part of an educational pursuit in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Education programme on educational research and debating scheme.
While addressing the participants, the Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shema urged the participants to be good ambassadors of the state and to work hard and put the state on the world map.
He told them that a special reward awaited those who excelled in the competition.
The governor disclosed that the state government allocated the sum of N12 million for the transportation and logistics of the delegation to be led by the former education commissioner, Alhaji Rabiu Abdu Rumah.
Shema also said that arrangements have been concluded to camp the participants in Lagos for four days before their departure to South Korea.
