The President of African Children Rescue Foundation (ACFR), Dr. Joseph Johnson has said that President Goodluck Jonathan needed to take drastic decision in order to be a successful leader.
He stated this yesterday at the award/founder’s day celebration of World Healing Church in Lawanson, Lagos.
“We cannot wait too long for change to take place in Nigeria; Jonathan should be able to take decision because he is a leader. He should be a custodian of change and if he realises that he is, then he should be able to change things fast because it is getting late”, he said.
Johnson affirmed that public office holders lacked accountability which he said was responsible for the high level of corruption in the country.
“We lack basic amenities for living, Nigerians also struggle to have electricity and government is not helping the matter due to bad implementation of laws. In Europe, government takes care of its citizens including the children’ school fees,” he lamented.
Speaking on his foundation, he said that they were trying their best to evacuate children from the street and to give them sound education.
He maintained that they were planning rally for the less privileged children, calling on state and federal government to assist the foundation.
His counterpart, Pastor Michael Otobong advised President Jonathan to allow God to direct him. “God alone has the solution to our problems because man has failed us”, he said.?
