The face-off between the National Judicial Commission (NJC) and the President of the Court of Appeal (PCA), Justice Isa Salami, yesterday took a turn for the worse, as Justice Salami carried out his official responsibility.
To firm up his position, the PCA also approached the Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday where he filed a fresh suit, asking the? court to set aside the NJC directive for him to proceed on suspension.
He also joined the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN), the Senate President, David Mark,? the National Assembly and the Clerk of the National Assembly as co-defendants in the suit.
The NJC had on Thursday suspended Justice Salami and directed him to hand over to the “next senior justice of the Court of Appeal.”
