Real Madrid ace, Cristiano Ronaldo has a vision of winning the Champions League as he underlines his ambition at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 26-year-old won the trophy in 2008, when Manchester United beat Chelsea in the Moscow final, but was a loser the following season as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side went down to Barcelona.
That proved to be Ronaldo’s last game for United before a big-money move to Madrid, and his attempts to add another European title to his collection were ended last season at the semi-final stage by Real’s fierce rivals Barca.
Now, though, the Portuguese believes Madrid can win their 10th European crown.
“We have to win important trophies, the Liga or the Champions League because these are the titles that make you triumph in football,” he told Uefa.com.
“Winning it [the Champions League] is the final phase of having a great season and it is one of the most important trophies.
“I had the fortune to win it with Manchester United in 2008 and I think this was the greatest moment in my career.
“Now I hope to win it with Real Madrid because it is the greatest title you can win on a European level.”
