4 Winners Emerge At Glo Naija Sings Abuja Auditions

?

Four golden-voiced contestants made it through to the semi final stage at the Abuja regional auditions for the Glo sponsored popular music reality TV show, Glo Naija Sings, which is now in its third season.
The winners are Chinwe, a 20 year old Public Administration student who dedicated her performance to her late father and mentor; Anthony, who decided to give all to his music career after completing his education; Oluwakemi, a 29 year old single mum who dedicated her audition to her son and Christian, a comedian cum fashion businessman whose passion is singing.
?
The contestants were able, with their impressive performances, to convince the judges led by resident judge, Olisa Adibua and supported by popular music star, Jeremiah Gyang and music and talent manager, Sofie Tarsa that they deserved to be in the semi finals of the competition when it kicks off soon in Lagos .
?
Oluwakemi was first to perform. Jeremiah liked her voice and the fact that her singing was on point and struck the right key. Sofie agreed Oluwakemi had a nice voice but thought she was a little nervous while Olisa said though it was tough to come out first, Oluwakemi distinguished herself by being the first from across the nation to sing first and still set a very high standard.
?
Chinwe, who was performing for her late father and mentor, was the third to take to the stage and she wowed viewers with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”, although her facial expressions were called into question.
Christian later came out to a rapturous reception from the crowd. Jeremiah called it “pure milk and honey” and was ready to send him straight through to the semis finals. Sofie said that Christian was what the competition was all about while Olisa agreed that Christian had justified the reason Glo Naija Sings was in Abuja . “I could feel the power and control in your voice, fantastic!”, he said.
?
Anthony was the last of the foursome to perform and got unusual commendation from Olisa, the resident judge who said his performance was good.
The Abuja quartet will join 15 other contestants from across Nigeria in the semi-finals taking place in Lagos, while the Lagos regional auditions will be aired on MNET and Africa Magic this Sunday (11 Sep) at 7pm West African Time.
