Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda? has condoled with the government and people of Gombe State over the accident that occurred on Thursday in the state and claimed lives and? property.
Yuguda, who stated this during a visit to Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo? on Sunday night, expressed sympathy to the families and friends of the victims of the accident.
He said, “I am here on behalf of myself and the people of Bauchi State to sympathise with the government and people of Gombe State over the accident which occurred whereby a trailer lost control and affected quite a lot of people.
“It is something that I felt I should come and share the grief with the government and people of Gombe, to convey our condolences to the families of those who were affected and those who were injured.
“May the Almighty Allah give them quick recovery and give them back what they have lost in the shortest possible time and put them in the path of prosperity.
“For those who lost their lives, may Allah grant them Aljannah Firdausi and I wish all the people of Gombe well in their endeavours.”
Dankwambo thanked Yuguda and the people of Bauchi State for their concern and prayed God to accept the condolence.
Dankwambo said that? Gombe and Bauchi were still one and that whatever affected one state affected the other.
He reiterated his call on drivers to ensure that they made their vehicles roadworthy before embarking on journeys to reduce the rate of accidents on the roads.
