The government of Benue State has maintained that the North Central state is 100 per cent safe for prospective foreign investors despite the political challenges, protests and agitations being embarked upon by the opposition party in the State.
The state government also disclosed that it had evolved an effective machinary to ensure the safety of both the residents and foreigners coming to establish in the state.

?Speaking on the political situation in the state, governor Gabriel Suswam told LEADERSHIP SUNDAY that his administration would not be intimidated by whatever the oppositions were doing to distract it.
Reiterating that his administration has been able to address security challenges and other distractions that could discourage investors from coming to do their businesses in Benue state, the Governor said that he has been keeping calm so as to lay a good example as the Chief Security Officer of the state.

?Suswam regretted that the oppositions, instead of looking for a way to empower the youths, had decided to buy cutlasses and other deadly weapons for them to cause crisis in the state.
According to the Governor: “These people have been attacking members of the PDP each time the court ruling is not in their favour”.?
