Nasarawa State government Umaru Al-Makura has advised students to imbibe the virtues of ethical conduct and respect for rules and regulations to be able to excel in their academic careers.
Addressing students of Government Science School, Lafia, when he visited the institution yesterday, he urged them to be disciplined and shun anti-social behaviour, including cultism, exam malpractice and drug abuse.
Al-Makura decried the poor state of infrastructure in the school, which he said was not conducive for learning and teaching.
He reiterated government’s determination to improve the standard of education in the state, stressing that ‘’the socio-economic well being of every nation depends on education’’.
The governor also visited Nasarawa State Geographical Information System (NAGIS), where he inaugurated the pilot office for the Digital Aerial Photography and Mapping of the state. (NAN)
