The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation is set to add colour to this year’s edition of the tourism market, Akwaaba, holding in Lagos from October 19-21, 2011.
Accordingly, the corporation said in a statement that it would use the Akwaaba platform to encourage culture, food and sports tourism.
The corporation’s director – general, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, said NTDC would take the opportunity to unveil new tourism products, promising to also double its space for a bigger pavilion at the event which holds at Eko Hotel and Suites.
Although declining to disclose details of the NTDC offerings, Otunba Runsewe said Nigeria had an unbeatable strength in culture, culinary and sports tourism and therefore added that such must be displayed and promoted.
The Akwaaba African Travel Market which is endorsed by the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation is an international market which attracts at least 15,000 visitors annually.
