A Federal High Court in Lafia yesterday granted bail to the former? Nasarawa State Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma and nine of his accomplices.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Doma and other accused persons for alleged laundering of about N18bn of state funds.
The other accused persons include a former secretary to the state government, Timothy Ande, the former accountant -general , Dauda Egwa and Senator John Danboyi. But the accused pleaded not guilty to the offence.
In his ruling on the bail application, Justice Marcel Awokulehin granted bail to the ex-governor in the sum of N300m with two sureties just as he also admitted other accused to bail in the sum of N200m with one surety.
?The case has been adjourned till December 6.
