Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Gaidam, the third wife of Yobe Governor, died on Monday in Abuja, after a protracted illness.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, said the funeral prayer for the deceased would be held at the National Mosque, Abuja, by 2 p. m. same day.

Although no details were given on the cause of her death, the statement added that the three-day fidau prayers would also hold on Wednesday at the Government House Mosque, Damaturu.

Meanwhile, the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu, had been receiving hundreds of sympathisers in Damaturu, who were trooping to condole with the governor.
Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam is in Abuja for the burial rites.

Already, the state radio has suspended its programmes and was running recitation of the Quranic as a mark of respect to the deceased.
