The Governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda, yesterday signed the contract for the proposed Bauchi State International Airport worth N7.9 billion.
The state commissioner of special duties, Alhaji Bappha Azare, who signed the contract on behalf of the governor, said that 15 companies had applied to carry out the multi-billion Naira project, but only Triacto Nigeria Limited found worthy to award the contract.
He revealed that about 70 percent of the project’s fund had been disbursed by the state government for the contracting company to immediately begin work.
Triacto Nigeria Limited Managing Director, Eli Abu Fahat, expressed appreciation to the state government for choosing the company to execute the project and assured that they would deliver qualitative work.
