Four governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State,? Governor Timipre Sylva, Hon. Seriake Dickson; Mr Ben Murray- Bruce and Mr. Timi Alaibe,? yesterday appeared before the Zonal Committee of the PDP for screening process ahead of the November 19 governorship? primaries of the party.
Governor Sylva, who arrived the venue of the screening at about 12.28pm, was welcomed by the presence of huge crowds of supporters and armed policemen just as he went straight into the screening office.
Alaibe had appeared before the screening committee at about 5:30pm accompanied by Senator Amariagha-nimi Amange.
The arrival of Dickson to the venue was rewarded with mocking shouts of His Excellency!His Excellency!! by crowds of supporters of? Governor Sylva.
He left at about 4pm and the delay was attributed to the late arrival of some members of the screening Committee from Abuja and the State Party Chairman, Mr.James Dorgu.
Dickson, who came out of the venue of the? screening at about 5.10pm,expressed confidence in the screening exercise and promised the people of Bayelsa a new beginning that will see changes for good governance and development.
