The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) in Akwa Ibom has said that the removal of petroleum subsidy will engender a stable economic system in the country.? ?
The Chairman of the association in the state, Mr. Linus Udofia, said this on Friday in an interview with journalists in Uyo.
Udofia urged the Federal Government to use the subsidy funds to reactivate ailing industries to create employment for the teeming youths.
?The CNPP also called on the government to remove constituency development funds from all elected legislators, saying that such funds had not been well utilised by the officers.
?“There has been no meaningful project in any of their constituencies; the projects are either executed by the state or the Federal Government.”
?The chairman urged state governors who had not implemented the new minimum wage for workers to pay without further delay.
?He appealed to the Federal Government to tackle the poor road network in the country.
