Wash the lemon and cut into two equal parts.
Juice the lemon using a manual citrus juicer.
Pour in a glass cup and refrigerate.
But if leaving for a longer time, heat ? cup of water in a pot. Add sugar if you want extra sweetness. Boil until the sugar completely dissolves in the water. Mix the sweetened water with the lemon juice.

Add little potassium metabisulphate to act as a preservative and pour in the glass cup.
If using the preservative, let the lemon juice sit for one week in the refrigerator before drinking it. If not, drink within a few days so that it doesn’t have sour taste.
