Newly appointed special adviser to the president on political affairs, Ali Ahmed Gulak, said that the dismissal of the petition brought before the Presidential Tribunal by the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) against President Goodluck Jonathan? did not come to Nigerians? as a surprise.
Gulak, who? said this at a dinner in Abuja in his honour, added that given the fact the PDP remained the only political party that campaigned assiduously during the April elections and won the hearts of Nigerians, it was only a foregone conclusion that the CPC would find it difficult to get victory through the back door.
‘’I expected it because no party campaigned like the PDP at the last elections.
I? witnessed the 1969, 1979 and all other subsequent elections and I dare say that no party has campaigned like the PDP. PDP campaigned across the nooks and crannies of this country to canvass for votes.
