ACF, Yakowa Sue For Peace At Sallah

As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year Eid-el-kabir, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) yesterday said Nigerians must learn to be tolerant of our differences and diversity .

?

Kaduna State Governor, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa prayed that tolerance, respect for one another, love and the passion for the unity and well-being of the state and country would continue to be the imperative of our living together as brothers and sisters, irrespective of either religious or tribal differences.
?

The ACF in a text statement made available to LEADERSHIP SUNDAY by its spokesperson, Mr. Anthony Sani, the ACF? felicitated with Muslims over the celebration of Eid-el-kabir which also marked the end? of the Muslim calendar year.

?

“May the spirit of the commemoration inspire the needed sacrifices and unhinged love of God and humanity in our daily lives in order to please God”, the ACF prayed.
?

The Forum which also condemned the endless circles of revenge attacks that is becoming the order of the day in some parts of Kaduna State as well as bomb blasts in the northern part of the country that have refused to ebb despite scriptural injunctions and pleas by notable and well meaning people across the globe that Nigerians should embrace peace through genuine reconciliations that come with true forgiveness, cautioned that resorting to Tora law of an eye for an eye could leave all of us blind.”
?

“One way of achieving this noble objective is to be tolerant of our differences and diversity, be they in faith, in ethnicity and about places of origin. After all, the place of religion in the world over is to love God and neighbours for the important needs of the people.
?

“May Allah help us to do just that through our resolve to work hard and make the spate of ethno-religious and communal conflicts, as well as kidnappings, armed robberies and bomb blasts across the nation history for our collective good, the ACF prayed.
?

The ACF also commensurated with the government and people of Gombe over the untimely death of the deputy governor, David Miyim, and? prayed for God to provide the family, the government and the people, the fortitude to endure the loss.
