The Chairman of Ram Sellers Association in Kaduna, Musa Abdullahi,? yesterday counted his members’ losses as over 10 rams were stolen from various animal sheds in the metropolis in the wake of the celebration of the Eid-el- Kabir.
?
He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that instead of counting their gains, they were counting their losses this sallah.
?
Musa said that the security men in charge of the animal sheds reported that unknown men came to the sheds at about 2 a.m. yesterdayday and stole two rams at the station market animal shed.
?
He said that six rams were also stolen from the Zangon animal market at about 4 am.
?
The chairman said that no arrest has been made but said that the association would report to the police after the Sallah festivity to avoid possible recurrence.
?
Reacting to this development, the residents of Angwar Sarkin and Bakin Ruwa decried the recent disappearance of their goats and rams.
?
A staff of FRCN and one of the residents, Hajia Hauwa Usman,? said that the owners of rams at various locations in the metropolis have become watchmen.
?
“We hardly have a good sleep over our rams as miscreants are taking over animals’ barns through various strategies.”
