Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has urged? religious and community leaders? irrespective of ethnic and religious differences to imbibe the ideals? of promoting peace, harmony and equity for the development of Gombe? State and the? country at large.

The governor stated this while presenting his goodwill message on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir cerebration, held? at Banquet Hall of the Government House, Gombe.

The occasion, which was marked in low key as the state was observing the seven-day mourning in honour of the late Deputy Governor Mr. David? Albashi, who died on Friday last week in Germany, saw? Dankwambo calling? on the traditional and religious leaders to be steadfast in prayers for the prevailing peace? in the state as a necessary catalyst to the continuous socio-economic development of all the communities in the? state.

He added that his administration would remain? focused and committed toward fostering unity? and development by providing infrastructure and security to lives and property as it forges ahead to fulfill the common hopes and aspirations of the people of the state.
