Bauchi State governor, Isa Yuguda has charged people of the state to use their cultural heritage to promote unity and peace necessary for social, economic and political development.

Yuguda gave the charge through his Deputy, Alhaji Sagir? Aminu Saleh, on the occasion of Sayawa annual cultural festival (Lhem-Za’ar) which held in Tafawa-Balewa LGA of the State.

The governor added that the occasion was a manifestation of peace and unity among the existing tribes not only in the State and added that government? placed priority on the development of cultural heritage as a means of mobilising, creating awareness and promoting unity among people of different backgrounds.

Yuguda described culture as an indispensable catalyst towards socio- economic and political development and gave the assurance that his administration was committed to the preservation of culture.
