The governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, has expressed confidence that the forthcoming governorship election would not go the way of the previous processes, which he said, were hijacked by anti-democratic forces.
?
Inaugurating his campaign committees in Lokoja, he noted that the ruling party stood no chance of withstanding the collective will of the people of the state, who desired a change.
?
Audu pointed out that no armed thugs, no matter their numerical strength would defeat the larger population of the people, who had constituted themselves as vanguards to rescue the state.
?
He further said that since the people of the state had decided to take their destiny in their hands, the change they so much desired would come, and urged them to stoutly defend their votes, noting that the sufferings of the election day cannot be compared to the freedom they would regain by removing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power, so as to change the fortunes of the state.
