Nasarawa State government has said that it would increase investment in education to improve infrastructure and provide instructional materials in primary and post primary schools.

The State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-makura, made this known in his welcome address to delegates to the Joint Consultative Committee On Education’s (JCCE) plenary meeting, in Lafia, yesterday.

The Governor, who was represented by the deputy vice chancellor, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Muhammad Mainoma, said that the state would ensure training and retraining of teachers even as he added that the administration would re-introduce mock exams in schools to prepare students for WAEC and NECO examinations.
