The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, is to inaugurate 5,000 ethics marshals in Abuja to stem examination malpractices in Nigeria.

?
Founding Chairman of the Exams Ethics Marshals International, Mr Ike Onyechere, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the move was an effort to assist in transforming the education sector.
?
Onyechere said that the number of those who enlisted for the exercise in 2011 showed the readiness of Nigerians to support government’s transformation agenda for the education sector and the willingness of the youth to contribute actively.
?
He said that the event would be heralded by Examination Ethics Marshal Consultative conference scheduled to hold from November 15 to November 16.
?
“The central mission of the project, among others, is the development of human capital with ethical, moral and education qualities to perform as transformational change agents and the entrenchment of culture of examination ethics in the education system by 2014,’’ Onyechere said.
?
He explained that the climax of the launching would be the inauguration of new ethics marshals.
