Governorship candidate of Congress for Progressive Change,CPC, in Kogi State, Chief James Ocholi, SAN has promised to transform Lokoja, into a befitting State capital if elected in next month’s governorship poll.
Addressing party supporters in Lokoja, Chief Ocholi, said he would built a new Lokoja that everyone would be proud of and said that the present set up of the town did not befit it as a State capital.
He pointed out that the Lokoja of his dream would be well planned to complement the beauty of nature thereby making it a centre of attraction in the country even as new settlements would be opened up, to accommodate the growing population.
The CPC standard bearer further promised to accord agriculture top priority by introducing mechanised farming so as to make the state self sufficient in food production.
He gave the assurance that small and medium scale industries would be established to boost the socio-economic well being of the people. This was just? as he promised to open up rural roads to enable farmers transport their produce.
