FG Commissions 128 Km Gas Pipeline In Calabar

Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke has commissioned a 128 Kilometre South-South Gas Pipeline in Calabar.

The Minister said that the project would contribute in accelerating the economy of Cross River and Akwa Ibom states, the primary beneficiaries of the gas supply.

In a press release made available to our correspondent yesterday by the cross river state government, Mrs. Madueke said the occasion presented another milestone in the effort to revolutionise gas resources in the country.

She maintained that the vision of President Goodluck Jonathan in the industry was to position Nigeria as a gas hub in the sub Sahara Africa while also making gas a major contributor to energy generation to enhance the anticipated economic transformation envisaged in the nation’s development agenda.
