Katsina State government has concluded arrangements to kick-start a state-wide mass immunization against cerebral spinal meningitis, the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema, has said.
Governor Shema who spoke through the Commissioner of Health, Nasidi Muhammad Danladi, said that the mass immunization would be for persons between the ages of one to 30 years adding that the immunization is slated for next month.
Shema reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reposition the health sector and disclosed that hospital equipments worth millions of naira had been procured and distributed to health centres across the state.
He noted that over three hundred medical students are undergoing training in Nigeria and oversea as part of measures to strengthen manpower base of the state’s health sector.
