The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), North-West Zone, has suspended Alhaji Faruk Gusau, an ex-officio of the zone, over a paid publication against the Governor of Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamakko.
Alhaji Gusua had signed a material published in national daily, entitled, ‘Complaints against the Sokoto State Executive of the PDP’ in which he made allegations against the governor, including anti-party activities, use of thugs, financial impropriety, lack of requisite qualifications of party executives.
He? demanded, among others, that the governor be disqualified from contesting any political office at any level, including the forthcoming primaries for the gubernatorial elections in the state.
Addressing a press briefing on the said publication, the North West Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Hussaini Dembo and made available to newsmen in Kaduna,? said that Gusau erred by writing a petition against the Wamakko without the knowledge and consent? of the zonal office, an action that violated the provision of the party’s constitution.
