An expert doctor caring for George Michael yesterday said his voice may suffer from the treatment he is getting. Gerrit Wohlt said George, 48 — battling pneumonia in intensive care in Vienna, Austria — is on a ventilator that forces air in and out of his lungs. Dr Wohlt added: “It depends how long he spends on the ventilator, but in the worst case his illness could seriously affect his singing capacity. The pressure is very close to his vocal cords and it could affect them.”
