Over fifteen persons are feared dead in a suicide attack on a commercial hub along Danmusa Road, by Oriakpata, Kaduna State.
The commercial centre is known to house many non-indigenes and mainly, vehicle spare parts dealers.
Police Commissioner Ballah M. Nasarawa denies that it was a bomb, saying that items from within shop must have caused the explosion. However, shop owners insist that nothing in their shops could have caused the explosions as they deal mainliy in spare parts.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the bombs – five in number – were detonated by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect.
According to sources, the bombers, who rode on a motorcycle, were on a mission to another part of Kaduna State. Unfortunately, the bombs timed out as they approached the commercial centre.
In a desperate attempt to save themselves, they threw the explosives into the market but too late, they were all consumed in the ensuing explosion.
