The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday said that the burial of the deceased Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, would be a unique platform for the unity of Igbos.
MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, stated this yesterday at the Enugu residence of Ojukwu while closing the seven-day prayers and mourning? declared by the movement last week for the late Igbo leader.
Uwazuruike thanked the Igbos in Nigeria and Diaspora for observing the mourning period and their tremendous support for Ojukwu while he was in hospital in London.
He disclosed that MASSOB had planned to convene a meeting of Igbo leaders at Ojukwu’s residence this month to chart a new course for Ndigbo but regretted that the death of the Biafran leader had voided the plan.
