The special adviser to Kaduna State governor on Christian religious matters, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, has described the LEADERSHIP Person of the Year 2011, Gen. TY Danjuma, as a man of proven integrity. “TY Danjuma is the Abiola of the North,” he said.
The immediate past secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, who spoke to LEADERSHIP in Kaduna, also said Danjuma was “a man who is firm and strong, a man who would support you and also disagree with you if do what is wrong”.
He stated: You remember, he supported Obasanjo’s Presidential bid in 1999 and when Obasanjo became the President and started derailing, he was the first to come out and say you are wrong.”
“This kind of strong-hearted person is good for Nigeria. Look at the philanthropist gestures he is doing now. It is quite commendable.
He is the Abiola of the North, I would say. Because, when Abiola was alive he was reaching out to everybody.
I can tell to you that TY Danjuma is the Abiola of the North. He deserved the Award.”
