Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) primaries in Sokoto State, a youth group in the state has called on the electorate to give their support to the former Minister of Sports, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman.
Alhaji Suleiman served as the Minister of Sports in President Jonathan’s cabinet until he resigned recently to join the Sokoto State gubernatorial race.
The youth group in a press statement signed by one Faruk Yabo in Kaduna said that, Alhaji Suleiman has the capacity to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the State if elected.
In endorsing the former Sports Minister, the youth group said that it was part of a “desperate desire to reclaim their glory sacrificed by leadership characterised by unrepentant kleptomania manifesting in under-development.”
