National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has restored the accreditation of the programmes of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.
Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor on Information Communication Technology (ICT), Mr. Okechukwu Igbonekwu, made the disclosure yesterday at a media briefing at the end of meeting of the State Executive Council, chaired by the Governor, Sullivan Chime in Enugu.
NBTE withdrew IMT’s accreditation about two months ago over complaint by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) of an unusual presentation of large numbers of graduates for mobilisation by the institution since 2010.
Mr. Igbonekwu said with the restoration of the accreditation, management of the institution could now admit students into its programmes, including Ordinary National Diploma (ND I), Higher National Diploma (HND) among others, while those due for their National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) could? now collect their call-up letters.
