Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has urged Nigerians to be vigilant and security conscious during this festive season.
Fashola made the appeal in his Christmas message to Lagosians yesterday. He said that Jesus Christ, whose birth gave rise to the season of celebration, was an apostle of positive change.
Fashola said, “Our world is changing and we must embrace that change which would lead to the realization of our aspirations for a better life.”
He? explained that government realizes its role to minimize discomfort in the process of achieving change adding that the team he leads in Lagos State would never be found wanting in terms of efforts to achieve better service delivery and minimising whatever discomfort that may arise in the process of ultimately achieving better life for the people.
While congratulating all Lagos residents, especially the Christians, he noted that after navigating through the general elections that preceded the last Christmas celebration, the nation is faced with other challenges ranging from economic to social and political issues all emanating from the inherent demands for a change for the better.
