A former member of the National Assembly, Usman Tsauri has faulted the federal government on the recent threat to national security, insisting that federal government has failed the nation.
Senator Tsauri, who represented Katsina central at the upper chambers of the National Assembly from 2003 to 2007, told newsmen in Katsina yesterday that the nation’s security system was collapsing “yet the federal government is doing nothing.”
He decried the Christmas day bombing and challenged the nation’s security apparatus to bring perpetrators of the act to book noting.
?“Government must try to identify the Boko haram, ascertain what they really want and find a lasting solution to this wanton destruction of lives and property.”
Continuing, he said “We cannot continue in an atmosphere of wanton destruction of lives and property like this. You can see what is happening in Borno, Yobe, Jos, Kaduna, Suleja yet the government is doing nothing. Government must do something fast.”
