The Congress of Progressive Change(CPC) has described the Christmas Day bombings? in four northern states as a national tragedy.
The national publicity secretary of the party, Rotimi Fashakin, in a statement yesterday, condemned the spate of bombings as cowardly, morally reprehensible and callous.
He said, “The gory sight of wasted Nigerians made the incidents real national tragedy.”
As a Party,he said, “we have had cause to alert the nation at the heightened ethno-religious sentiments, actively fostered by this? regime, especially in the wake of the April general elections.
“The sponsored ethno-religious sloganeering in the cyber and nation’s spaces, like the legendary law of cause and effect, have started to bear unsavoury consequences on all of us.”
“Indeed, the fractured ethno-religious equilibrium of the Nigerian nation, in the wake of the April elections, has come back hurting!” he said.
According to Fasakin,? it is? childish for the nation’s security apparatus to always “give a one-sided view to this spate of bombings.”
