Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has assured of the security of lives and property during its 33rd edition of the International Trade Fair February, 2012.
Briefing newsmen at the Trade Fair complex along Kaduna-Zaria Express Way yesterday, the First Deputy President of KADCCIMA and Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammadu Sani, said that the committee was partnering with the Kaduna State government to ensure a hitch-free fair.
Sani said that it would benefit no individual or group to unleash any form of terror on the people at the trade fair.
He said, “We are aware that the trade fair is coming at a time when government at all levels in the country are facing some security challenges, the Kaduna State government under Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa is making all efforts in the area of security within and around the state to ensure that we have a successful 33rd Kaduna International Trade Fair.”
He called on prospective participants from within and outside the country not to entertain any fear as the entire trade fair environment would be adequately secured before and during the exercise.
Sani, who is also the Chairman of the 33rd Kaduna International Trade Fair disclosed that as part of efforts to complement the federal government’s commitment to reviving Nigerian enterprises and promoting Made-in-Nigeria goods, the fair has the theme, “Re-awakening of Nigerian Enterprises Towards Global Competitiveness”.
He said the KADDCIMA is expecting a large local and international participants, as investors from about ten countries, including Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt, Austria, India, South Korea, Iran, Peoples Republic of China, Taiwan, Niger Republic and Liberia had signified interest to participate.
“As usual, we have made contacts with industrialists, manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors and marketers, both within and outside the country, inviting them to come and participate at this year’s African’s most famous fair”, Sani added.
