President of Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria, Comrade Shehu Sani, has told President Goodluck Jonathan to get ready to count dead bodies, bones and ribs of hunger-stricken Nigerians who will be victims of the fuel subsidy removal.
He also urged promoters of the policy such as the Ministers of Petroleum, Finance and the Governor of Central Bank to stand by and assist the president in the ignoble assignment.
Comrade Sani, who initiated the peace talks between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect, said that the “removal of petroleum subsidy by President Jonathan is an inhuman, callous, insensitive and destructive act aimed at enslaving Nigerians perpetually
In a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Kaduna, he called on all Nigerians to “unite and fight and join the upcoming nationwide civil disobedience campaign which will start from Monday, January 9, 2012.”
The Comrad also said “the subsidy removal is irrational, illogical, immoral and out-rightly barbaric. President Goodluck has succumbed to the bidding of entrenched interests and agents of western imperialism in his government.
“The federal Government has literary sent all Nigerians to the gallows and incinerator. His government has entrenched poverty and misery and hunger.
