As the protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government continues, a Fulani Socio-cultural group, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, yesterday directed? its members across the country to stop selling cows.
Speaking to journalists in Masaka, Karu Local Government? Area of Nasarawa State, the headquarters of the association, the national chairman of the union, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, said? if the government refuses to listen to the voice of the masses, they would have no choice but to ask all Fulanis in Nigeria to withdraw their cows from the market.
“We have ordered all our members to withdraw their cows from the market until the government decides to come down to our level. If our President has just forgotten that Nigerians came out en masse inside the sun to give him their mandate,? we have not forgotten. Let him come out and see how the masses are suffering within the short time he removed the subsidy,” he said.
He? advised the youths to register their protest peacefully, without any violence, just as he called on herdsmen to come out and support the organised labour in the forthcoming strike.
