Workers under the aegis of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) have said that workers will not dialogue with the Federal Government on the subject of fuel subsidy withdrawal.
President of NCSU, Comrade Kiri Mohammed, who spoke with LEADERSHIP yesterday in Abuja, said the workers had seen that government was not? worthy of trust.
Comrade Kiri also directed that all civil servants stay away from work from Monday, January 9, 2012, when the anti subsidy strike would commence.
He added that no amount of intimidation from the state governors could stop the strike, stressing that the policy was only interested in raising revenue for the government to the detriment of Nigerians.
“My directives to all civil servants across the country is? ‘stay away from work effective from Monday pending when? further directives will be given.’
“We will not? dialogue with the government because they are not sincere; we cannot trust them unless it (the cost of petrol)? returns to N65.
“No amount of intimidation by the Governors and police should stop the mass action until the price is returned to the original price, ” he said.
