As last minute plans are being made on the indefinite strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) the civil society groups and trade unions in Ondo state have concluded plans for the mass protests across slated for Monday nationwide.
Various trade unions in the state met yesterday to further strategise on how to mobilise the people of the state ahead of Monday’s industrial action described by the NLC as the mother of all strikes.
The union leaders who converged at the NLC party Secretariat in Akure and adressed a press conference, said there was no going back on the strike.
All the leaders of the registered trade unions in Ondo state attended the press conference.
The NLC Chairman in Ondo state, Comrade Bose Daramola, told the union leaders that the event became necessary in order to ensure that members of the various unions comply with the directive from the national headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
