Niger State Police Command has arrested two persons, including a policeman for allegedly robbing a business, man ,Alhaji Usman of Shekolo Motors.
LEADERSHIP SUNDAY gathered that the robbery took place in the afternoon of Friday.
Luck however, ran out of them when they were apprehended at a police check point on the out skirts of Minna in Maitumbi.
It was gathered that the policeman, Hassan Paiko with his friend, attacked Alhaji Usman in his house at the back of NNPC mega station Minna and collected his ‘End of Discussion’ Honda Accord car as well as N250,000 at gun point.
It was further learnt that when the incident happened the police swung into action and notifired all check points in the state capital? This led to the policemen on duty at the Maitumbi check point to immediately stop the Honda Accord car when they sighted it alike on its way out of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, ASP Richard Adamu Oguche confirmed to LEADERSHIP SUNDAY that the policeman arrested was earlier dismissed from the service for some offences.
He said that Hassan was arrested with one other person and N250,000, a locally made pistol, two sharp knives as well as the Honda Accord car snatched? recovered from the suspects.
